Google Nest Hub includes a smart display with touchscreen capabilities. You can set an alarm using your voice or the screen. To be exact, Google Home can play your favorite radio station, podcast, or song at the designated hour. Okay, similar features have been around since the late 70s, but there’s no way you can tell a vintage alarm clock what to play, let alone when to stop. Pop-history lessons aside, children’s alarms are one of the coolest things about this IoT gadget. Alarms will still sound if there is an issue with the internet or in situations of no internet.
This way, the software is ready to take commands without being wakened first. You can also set alarms using the Google Home app. Open the app, tap Devices in the top right corner, then tap the alarm icon next to your Google Home. The alarm from Google Home devices will continue to sound for 10 minutes if it’s not stopped or snoozed. You can stop the alarm on Google Home either by voice commands or using the touch on your device. Last year, Google introduced the functionality of turning off the alarm by simply saying Stop.

To Factory Reset the device you need to first turn off the mic and then press and hold the lights in the center of your Google Home Mini for about 15 seconds. After that you will be prompted that you are going to Factory Reset the device. Just follow the instructions prompted by your Google Home Mini and you will be good to go.
Please note that this feature is currently available in English, German, French , Spanish and Japanese on all Google Home and Home speakers and displays. You can either set alarms ad-hoc, or you can set up recurring alarms for the likes of work or school days. Even though there’s no official Google nanny feature or skill, the AI works great as one.

Media alarms mostly play specified music or a song whenever the alarm time is reached. Character alarms play the background music of a particular character that you have set whenever the alarm time reaches. You can set any of these alarms depending upon your own choice. Similar to music alarms, you can wake up to the voice of your favorite characters. Imagine waking up to your favorite song from Spotify! Well, that’s possible with the help of music alarms in Google Home.

Then, tap the Devices icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select the device you want to adjust. Under the “Alarm” section, tap the alarm you want to change and then tap the Sound field to select a new sound. Finally, tap Save in the upper right corner of the screen. On Nest displays, you can set alarms to gently wake you up. When a sunrise alarm is set, the screen will gradually brighten until it is time to wake up. You can listen to the news, listen to music, set alarms, playback videos, control smart thermostats and smart lights, and more using your Nest.
To set an alarm on Google Home without voice, you’ll need to use the Google Home app. Once you have the app open, tap the Devices icon in the top right corner. Then, select your Google Home device from the list. From here, you can set an alarm by tapping the plus sign in the bottom right corner. To change the alarm sound on Google Home, first, open the Google Home app on your mobile device.

For that, first, you need to set a default music provider in the Google Home app. You can set Spotify, YouTube Music, etc. as your default music provider. To set an alarm, say "Hey Google, set alarm for 6 AM tomorrow," or swipe up from the bottom of your display and tap Alarms, and then set a time. Select a song, artist, genre or playlist from your default music service in the Google Home app. If you have a premium account with your default music service, you can also use the premium options the service offers. If the default volume is to loud or too quiet, you can change it by going to the speaker settings in your Google Nest app.
You can either ask for an artist, like the above example, or request a specific playlist, album or song. Google Assistant will use your default music streaming service, such as Spotify, Pandora or Google Play Music. We used a Google Home Mini, but the feature works in exactly the same way on the Home and Home Max.

Nest Hub Max is a large smart display that measures seven inches tall and 10 inches wide. It has stereo speakers, a 10-inch touchscreen display, and 2 microphones. Updating the Home app on your phone will solve the problem.
Google Home has two versions Displays and Speakers, and for now there is not a method to change alarm tones in Google Home Speakers, but only on Home Displays. Google Assistant will prompt you for what time to set the alarm. Say, “For 8 o’clock tomorrow morning” or whatever time you want to choose.
